ReplyDeleteNeisha I piggy back off of your comments as well. Get my credit cards balances down. I'm excited for you wanted to start your own business. What kind of business if you don't mind me asking?
ReplyDeleteI want to own my home. I need to get my credit score up so I can do this. This class is exactly what I need and want to excel in my life and be excited about it. I want people to see the growth that I'm experiencing
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you have clear goals, Stacy. Knowing one's 'why' is huge factor towards success! You've got this!
DeleteI too want to own my own home and I see it as such a longer term possibility I can forget to hold it as one of my why's. However, one never knows what will unfold so it would be super cool for me to position myself with a great credit score and clear debt - and make myself ready!
I been creating my credit history and trying to be discipline in making payments on time. I do also would like to purchase a home so understanding better how to manage our finances would help with obtaining this goal. I agree with all you in this course how learning, understanding and manage our finances can allows each one of us achieve successfully our goals.
DeleteI want to buy a house one day also. This class will teach me how to budget to get on the right track so I can continue fixing my credit while respecting the money I get paid each week as well.

I have 2 children , one of which has Autism and i would love to update/increase my Credit Score, so that I can have to the ability to do more, such as purchase a home, a newer car, invest a little, Pay off these CC's. Most importantly save, so that i can secure a better future for my family.

ReplyDeleteI signed up for the course because I need to learn more about the importance of maintaining good credit. I would like to educate about the importance of managing their finance. I would like to know more about how financial trauma effect a family unit. I would like to learn how to avoid causing financial trauma. I would like to learn how to avoid the pitfalls of improper money management.
ReplyDeleteHello Stacy. I think it is crucial to teach our children about finances. The lessons we learn can be valuable to our children and others.
ReplyDeleteI agree Nicole, my daughter is 14 and, in constantly telling her if you have 1.00, do not spend .75 cent, save half, unless its necessary.
DeleteI agree teaching our children about finances is important but showing them as well. I want to be a better role model to them in how to manage their money.
DeleteI also agree of the importance in teaching our children about finances. I just took my 18 yr old to the bank so he can apply for a credit card program they have.
DeleteHello Onika. I have two children who are on the autism spectrum. Building a solid foundation is crucial to creating a strong house. I need to learn how to avoid paying high interest on loans and credit card debts.
ReplyDeleteI get it , I do , and sometimes it so hard, especially during these times. Those interest rates are so high, as well as the late fees. They make it all so necessary at the time and we get so grateful, that we are approved that we accept it.
DeleteThe way I have been managing my 'money love' has not been effective for me - in savings, debt, and overall flow. In short, it has not been working well for me. So, I thought if I engaged in a long term program focused on finances, I could generate, practice, and sustain a new way of managing my money. I am also looking forward to learning more around financial management. It is time for a cool change.
ReplyDeleteYes i agree, after this our money matters, both negative and positive we will have a better understanding
DeleteYes, I agree having a better understanding of how to manage and learning new ways to improve our savings and finances we can be more confident in achieving our goals.

DeleteJess, I understand and agree with you I need a different view on how to manage my finances and hoping this course will teach me a better way. Also connecting with people that have the same mindset helps in achieving our goals.
DeleteI hear you. Interestingly, right now I'm in a bit of a negative flow. I'm hopeful I can up-level my account balances soon! I'm working on cutting back expenditures at present. I do like the idea of saving a small amount each week - it makes it feel doable. Thank you.
DeleteI decided to enter this financial literacy course to learn more of how to manage my finances. I want learn new ways to save money, create a budget and invest. I have goals I would like to accomplish but need to learn how to put my finances in order.
ReplyDeleteI feel the exact same way too. My boyfriend tells me to make a budget sheet all the time, but I tell him, how will I make one if I dnt make enough money to budget because it's supposed to go all towards bills? Then I say: sorry bills! I want this that I just saw online and I only live once.
DeleteThis. I have goals, and right now - first things first. Thx!
DeleteWell said Liz!!!
ReplyDeleteI have decided to start this class because I am horrible with money. I believe that money is to be spent because it won't be buried with us. Anything I feel I deserve, or want and if I can afford it, I buy it. With that way of thinking has caused me to be in very bad debt. I dnt understand the value of money. So now is the time to learn what I need to learn about money so I can take money more seriously and build towards a future, instead of building more debt.
ReplyDeleteI feel that I don't understand the value of money either... but I'm sure throughout this course we will gain the knowledge that we need to value and manage our money better :)
DeleteHello Liz, I think this course will teach us different strategies to assist us with managing our finances and creating a realistic budget. You will accomplish your goals because you have taken the first steps to accomplish them.
ReplyDeleteGood evening,
ReplyDeleteI decided to take this class because I have been struggling trying to save and make ends meet. I get everything paid on time but I can't seem to keep up when it comes to saving. It is my intentions to learn the best possible through out this course.
Good night,
ReplyDelete3 reasons why I decided to participate in the Financial Literacy Institute:
1. Growing up I wasn't taught how to save... now that I am 25 and a single mother of 1 it's been extremely hard trying to discipline myself to save with no knowledge, so I joined this class to learn and gain more knowledge.
2. I am also participating in this class to be more intentional about teaching my children how to save. (Passing on what I learn to my children)
3. Lastly, I am participating in this class to learn how to fix and build my credit the right way.
Good evening all good reasons to make sure we have a better understanding of how to better handle our money. WE GOT THIS!!
DeleteGood morning Chanell well said. Together we all got this.
