Week #11 Insurance
Last evening was our last night together as a group. We learned so much about the different types of insurances that are out there for our security protection against any potential losses. What type of insurance while you the must and how did it get your attention and Why?
In today’s society, insurance is essential because unforeseen accidents can happen at anytime. During the presentation on home and renter’s insurance, the speaker emphasized the significance of adequate coverage. This prompted me to consider reviewing my policy and seeking help to better understand my coverage. Given the significant changes in the economy, with costs for basic repairs and replacements doubling, I want to ensure my policies provide sufficient coverage for potential expenses.
ReplyDeleteNicole, proactively reviewing your coverage and policy sounds key to ensuring your policies reflect the level of insurance which will truly cover any possible losses. Then rest in the knowing your investments in hearth & home are secure.
DeleteI realized I have not read my policy since first signing years back ... it is renewed each year and I want to take this opportunity of new awareness to make sure all is how I want it to be. Onward & Upwards!
Jess I can relate, some of my policies renew automatically and I fail to read through them. It is something I will work on as it is important to do so as things do change.
DeleteThats a great outlook to have Nicole, and Jess, we always want to make sure that we are properly covered.
DeleteIda , i use to never read the policy renewal in its entirety just making sure i paid the bills.
DeleteI found it interesting that all insurance rates take into account one's credit score - not limited to the automobile realm, as I once thought. Having renter's insurance, I felt grateful with the speaker's feedback to wait a year as I improve my credit score to compare rates with a few different companies. What grabbed my attention the most was hearing about the issues around uninsured motorists seeking to become insured with a gap of insurance history of over 6 months ...and how different insurance companies will no longer write policies for this demographic. As someone who longs to have a car again, there is the appearance of even a greater mountain to climb.
ReplyDeleteHello Jessica, our credit score significantly influences various aspects of our lives. It’s crucial to compare insurance plan rates to manage our budget effectively. The revelation about uninsured motorists caught my attention, and I see it as a form discrimination against those working on their financial stability. Companies make decisions that profoundly impact lives, creating a challenge. However, with thorough research, we can identify a company willing to offer you insurance. Though it’s a mountain to climb, we can tackle it together, supporting each other as valuable resources. You’re not alone in this journey with planning and assistance, you can overcome it.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Nicole. I can overcome my mountains!
DeleteHi Nicole. You are so right about having insurance coverage. I decided to go over my policies and see exactly what I have. Must protect yourself and your property. Thank you for pointing that out. I love how you stay ahead of the game.
ReplyDeleteJess things have truly changed over the years. Before they never looked at your credit score for car insurance only if you have an tickets or accidents
ReplyDeleteStacy , you are so right this was never a requirement, so much has changed.
DeleteI'm grateful that my dad told me about insurance. Right now I have the umbrella insurance which covers home, car and personal property. Without insurance it can make your life very difficult. Medical and life insurance is a definite must in this time we are living in.
ReplyDeleteThis topic was very interesting, as my son just got his license, and my insurance went up drastically. The speaker was able to answer my questions and I had a much better understanding even though it was a harsh truth.
ReplyDeleteThis is also my first time getting renters insurance and it felt like an accomplishment for me.
I will be looking into life insurance as is something I don't have and is critical.
I have to admit I barely read the policies. I need to do better. Sometimes they give you so much paperwork that it discourages you to not read through it.
I rather enjoyed the discussion on insurance , it was very informative and interesting especially the piece about having good credit , or your would have a not so desireable rating. I have worked in several insurance companies and this point always gets me. But not as much as those parents who buy there kids these bran new cars and wonder why their policy has sky rocketed ..
ReplyDeleteInsurance, is such an important piece, and proper coverage is so needed, what they dinbt expalin is insurance is a whole so its not the same across the board, so we could all will have the same coverage, but our premiums would be different depending on safety features of the vehicles, driving records, lifestyle or even the miles we drive.
